A human adventure ...leading to Fair Trade!
The oil, produced in Mali is the outcome of a close collaboration with producers in The Bamako area. The project,
which is based on concepts of transparency and mutual respect stemming from stable, fair relationships, provides work and regular resources fro 2,500 producer families in 80 small villages.
At a human level, the partnership has helped to create literacy programmes for local people and to improve schooling conditions.
In environmental terms, the project helps to fight desertification and to maintain soil fertility through greater agronomic know- how. |
